Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes the information collected when you use Anderson County Busted Mugshots, why it is used, and the limited circumstances in which it may be shared. By using the service, you accept these practices. Official public-record requests remain governed by the custodian’s own process, including Tennessee Public Records Act requirements.

Information You Submit

Search Entries

A name, place, or other query entered into a search tool is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. Anderson County Busted Mugshots does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems. That provider’s privacy terms apply to the query after it is submitted.

Messages

If you send a message or submit a contact request, we may keep the information provided so that we can respond. It is not shared outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law or is necessary to protect rights, safety, or service operations.

Technical Information and Cookies

Like many online services, the site and its service providers may receive technical information when a page is requested.

  • Internet protocol address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • Referring page or service, when available
  • Date and time of the request

Cookies

Cookies and similar tools may help measure how visitors use the service and support its functions. You can change browser settings to decline cookies. Some functions may work differently if cookies are blocked.

How Information Is Used

Information is used to operate and improve the service, route a submitted query to the selected partner, understand which materials are useful, diagnose technical problems, and support advertising that may be tailored by an advertising provider.

Official Records and Outside Links

The site may link to ACSO custody resources, city police records routes, court information, the Tennessee Department of Correction, and other official sources. The Tennessee Public Records Act, T.C.A. § 10-7-503, applies to records held by the relevant government custodian. It does not make this private service the custodian of an Anderson County booking record, police report, or court file.

Once you follow an outbound link, the destination service controls its own content, privacy practices, cookies, availability, and terms. Advertising partners may also measure activity across services for interest-based advertising on their own systems.

Who May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may be received by the following parties when necessary for the purpose described.

  • Search partners that process submitted search entries
  • Analytics providers that help measure service use
  • Advertising networks that serve or measure ads
  • Law enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order

Security Practices

We use reasonable measures intended to protect information under our control. No internet-connected system can be guaranteed fully secure, and we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.

Visitors Under 18

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted personal information, request deletion through the available support route.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, you may ask to review, correct, delete, or limit certain processing of personal information we hold. A request does not alter a record held by ACSO, a city police department, a court, TDOC, or another records custodian.

Changes to This Notice

We may revise this Privacy Notice as operations or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted here with an updated effective date when a revision takes effect.
